Who we are
PerPerp Ltd. ("PerPerp", "we", "us") publishes and maintains the interface at perperp.trade. We decide what personal data that interface collects and why, which makes us responsible for it under the data protection laws that apply to us.
If you have a question about anything in this policy, write to [email protected].
What this policy covers
It covers the website and interface at perperp.trade, our masterclass registration, and our referral programme.
It does not cover, and we are not responsible for, the following:
- The trading protocol operated by Orderly Network, which processes your orders and holds your collateral. It is not ours and we do not control it.
- Any public blockchain, which records transactions permanently and outside anyone's control.
- Your wallet provider, whether that is a browser extension, a mobile app or a hardware device.
- Any other website we link to.
Each of those has its own terms and its own privacy practices. Read them separately.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Masterclass registration — your name, email address, the country you selected, your stated experience level, and a referral code if you entered one.
- Correspondence — anything you send us by email, including support questions and complaints.
- Referral participation — the code you use or are issued, and the wallet address it is linked to.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and referring page.
- Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and the path you took through the site.
- Access controls — we use your IP address to determine whether you are in a country we cannot serve, and to block access if you are.
Information from connecting a wallet
- Your public wallet address, once you connect. This is a pseudonymous identifier: it does not name you, but it can be linked to you if you disclose it elsewhere or if it is connected to an account you have identified yourself on.
- Connection metadata — which wallet you used, which network you connected from, and when.
What we never collect
We never ask for, receive, or store your private keys, seed phrase, recovery phrase, or wallet password. No legitimate person at PerPerp will ever ask you for them.
Anyone who does — by email, in a chat group, in a support ticket, or by phone — is attempting to steal your funds. There is no exception, no verification process, and no support scenario in which those details are needed.
We also do not hold your assets. Connecting a wallet grants permission to submit instructions; it does not give us custody or the ability to move your funds.
Blockchain data is public
Every transaction you make settles on a public blockchain. Your wallet address, your trades, your deposits and your withdrawals are visible to anyone, permanently, anywhere in the world.
We cannot delete, amend, anonymise, or restrict on-chain data. Nobody can. This is a property of the technology, not a choice we made, and no request under any data protection law can change it.
If you link your wallet address to your identity anywhere — on social media, on a centralised exchange, in a public post — that link can be used by anyone to connect your trading history to you. Consider that before you share an address.
How we use it
- To operate the interface and make it work on your device
- To enforce the eligibility restrictions in our terms, including blocking access from countries we cannot serve
- To register you for a class and send you the joining details
- To run the referral programme and calculate what is owed to whom
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, market manipulation and security incidents
- To respond to you when you contact us
- To comply with legal obligations, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
International transfers
We operate internationally and our service providers are located in several countries, including the United States and countries in Europe and Asia. Your personal data will be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one you live in, and those countries may offer different protections from your own.
Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on the contractual protections in our agreements with those providers.
How long we keep it
- Registration details — for as long as you remain on our class list, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can show that you accepted the risk and eligibility confirmations at the time.
- Correspondence — for as long as needed to resolve the matter, and then for a reasonable period in case it resurfaces.
- Technical and usage data — as retained by our analytics provider under its own settings.
- Referral records — for as long as the programme runs and payments may be disputed.
Where we are required to keep something longer to meet a legal obligation, we do.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including transport encryption, access controls, and limiting who inside the business can see what.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. The most important security measures in this system are yours: keep your seed phrase offline and private, use a hardware wallet for meaningful balances, and read what you are signing before you approve it.
If you believe you have found a vulnerability in our site, report it to [email protected] rather than exploiting it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete data we no longer have a reason to keep
- Restrict or object to certain uses
- Provide your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will verify your request before acting on it, and we will respond within the period required by the law that applies to you.
You can unsubscribe from class emails at any time using the link in the email, or by writing to us.
These rights apply to data we hold. They cannot apply to on-chain data, which we neither hold nor control, and which nobody can delete. See section 5.
Age
The interface is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
Continuing to use the interface after a change means you accept the revised policy.
